PROWL: A Project Based Learning Collaborative

In 2021, The Guy Fieri Foundation awarded a grant to purchase a food trailer to create a mobile kitchen environment for Windsor High School Vineyard Academy Students to learn crisis response training in the food service industry, and to create a mobile classroom to learn all styles of cooking.

With the pandemic cost increases of all raw materials, additional funds were needed and Vineyard Academy Student, Ryder Fieri, donated $5,000 of his winnings on Guy's Grocery Games to this fundraising effort.

Purchased exclusively with funds donated by the Fieri Family, the PROWL food trailer offers a new oppertunity for WHS Vineyard Academy Culinary Students. The PROWL Trailer is equipped with a commercial Kitchen. This will allow students to learn how to use professional cooking equiptment and prepare food for large groups of people. The trailer's mobility is also a great asset, allowing students to take the trailer to different locations and events giving VA students the opportunity to share their cooking skills with a wider audience.

The trailer's name, PROWL, means 'a gathering of Jaguars', it further reflects the trailers ability to travel to different locations and the potential to help students "prowl" the culinary world.

The PROWL Cafe is the brainchild of Guy Fieri and Brian Williams, created by Marie Ganister and constructed by the fantastic duo of James Hansen and Estevan Alvarez, along with many other WUSD employees.

PROWL Cafe will be open during every home football game, offering a traditional "Snack bar" menu, along with a special of the week created by Vineyard Academy Culinary Students.
